RESEARCH AREAS/INTEREST

The major research area of interest is focused on elucidation of pathogenic mechanism of Parkinson's disease. Specifically, a multidisciplinary approach is employing to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanism underlying pathogenic degeneration of specific neuronal population in the PD brain. Drug screening of novel molecules isolated from plant sources or synthetic congeners for their neuroprotective and neuronal regeneration properties by using animal and cellular models.
