The Ninth Convocation of NIPER Hyderabad was held on July 24, 2021 in the auditorium of the campus. Dr. Shashi Bala Singh, Director, NIPER-Hyderabad, welcomed the august gathering. She highlighted that within short span of 14 years, the institute has cemented itself as a centre of excellence for advanced studies and learning in pharmaceutical sciences. The chief guest at NIPER’s Ninth Convocation Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, wished the very best to the graduating students. He highlighted that the current scenario in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Sectors at national and global levels, is full of hope and ripe with challenging career opportunities.
Ms. S. Aparna, IAS, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, congratulated all the successful candidates and highlighted that the Indian pharma industry is an inspiration to the nation, a perfect example being Shri K. Satish Reddy. She also informed that the Government understands the importance of the MSMEs and is putting in efforts to improve their performance. Shri K. Satish Reddy, Chairman, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories & Chairman, Board of Governors NIPER Hyderabad, emphasized on the fact that it is the right time for the graduating students to enter the pharma industry. He stressed how the industry collectively worked with the government in fighting the COVID pandemic. He also appreciated the proactive role of Department of Pharmaceuticals, especially with the NIPERs which are continuously working hard to provide the workforce for the industry.
A total 171 students, including 25 Ph.D., 113 M.S. (Pharm.) and 33 M.B.A (Pharm.) students were awarded their degrees during the convocation. Gold medals were given to Ms. Ruqaiya Saeed (MC), Ms. Jaiswal Pooja Vinod (PA), Ms. Nadimpalli Nimisha (PA), Ms. Zara Rahman (PT), Mr. Rishabh Hirawat (RT), Ms. Atmakuri Sri Vidya (PE), Ms. Padakanti Akhila (PC) & Mr. Andyal Manali Balkrishna (PM). Director Medal for Best All Rounder Student was given to Ms. Harshita Dalvi for the batch of 2019-21.
The Eighth Convocation of NIPER Hyderabad was held on Wednesday, the 24th July 2020 at NIPER Campus, Balanagar, Hyderabad. The Chief Guest for the Convocation was Shri K.T.Rama Rao Hon’ble Minister for IT & Urban Development. Dr. K. Satish Reddy, Chairman, Dr. Reddys Laboratories Ltd. Hyderabad was the Guest of Honour for the event. Dr. P.D.Vaghela, IAS, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India, Shri Rajneesh Tingal, Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India, Dr. Shashi Bala Singh, Director, NIPER, Hyderabad and Dr. Jitender Madan, In-charge Registarar, NIPER Hyderabad graced the occasion.
Seven meritorious students were awarded Gold Medals and Book Prizes in recognition of their academic achievements. The Medals and Prizes were given to the awardees by Shri K.T. Rama Rao, Dr. K. Satish Reddy.
A total of 270 students graduated for the academic years 2017-2019 and 2018-2020 includes 198 MS (Pharm.), 57 MBA (Pharma.) students and 24 PhD scholars.

Shri Jitendra Trivedi, Director, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India, Dr. Shashi Bala Singh, Director, NIPER, Hyderabad and Shri M. A. Masoom, Incharge Registarar, NIPER Hyderabad graced the occasion.
Seven meritorious students of Batch 2016-2018 were awarded Gold Medals and Book Prizes in recognition of their academic achievements. The Medals and Prizes were given to the awardees by Shri E. S. L. Narasimhan, Dr. K. Satish Reddy and Shri Jitendra Trivedi.
PhD and Master’s Degrees were awarded to the students who passed out in the year 2018. A total number of 109 students of M.S./M.Tech./M.B.A.(Pharm) Batch 2016-2018 and 04 students of Ph.D. [Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmacology & Toxicology/Pharmaceutics] were conferred with their degrees by Dr. K. Satish Reddy, Shri Jitendra Trivedi and Dr. Shashi Bala Singh.
The Sixth Convocation Ceremony of NIPER Hyderabad was held on Wednesday, the 25th April 2018 at NIPER Campus, Balanagar, Hyderabad. The Convocation was presided over by Professor P. Balaram, Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Former Director of Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore. He is a recipient of the third highest Indian civilian honour of Padma Bhushan (2014) was the Hon’ble Chief Guest and delivered the Convocation address, Shri Rajneesh Tingal, Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India, Dr. S. Chandrasekhar, Director, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, Dr. T. Shekharam, Office on Special Duty (OSD), NIPER Hyderabad graced the occasion.
The highlight of the ceremony was conferment of Eight Gold Medals and 08 Book Prizes to the meritorious students of Batch 2015-2017. The Gold Medals and Book Prizes were given to the awardees by Shri Rajneesh Tingal and the Hon’ble Chief Guest Prof. P. Balaram
Another important feature of the Sixth Convocation was award of degrees to all the M.S./M.Tech./M.B.A.(Pharm) and Ph.D. recipients, a total number of 105 Master Degrees and 10 PhD Degrees were awarded to the recipients of M.S.(Pharm) [Medicinal Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Analysis/Pharmacology & Toxicology/Regulatory Toxicology/Pharmaceutics], M.Tech.(Pharm) [Pharmaceutical Technology (Process Chemistry)] and M.B.A.(Pharm) Pharmaceutical Management and Ph.D.[Medicinal Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Analysis/Pharmacology & Toxicology/Pharmaceutics] (passed out in the year 2017) by Shri Rajneesh Tingal and the Hon’ble Chief Guest Prof. P. Balaram
