Dr. N. Satyanarayana did his M.Sc (1973) and B.Sc (1971) from Osmania University. He has obtained his Ph.D in Chemical Dynamics under the supervision of Prof. E V Sundaram, Kakatiya University in 1981. Post Doctoral fellow at University of Louis Pasteur, Strasburg, France in the field of macromolecular synthesis during 1982 – 83. He also visited United Kingdom and Germany during the post doctoral program.

His main research interests: Interpolymeric condensation reactions – Chemical dynamic studies, Synthesis of novel co-polymers and their characterizations, Studies of Thermodynamic Properties Solutions.

Dr. Satyanarayana joined in Osmania University service as a lecturer in 1973 and later moved to Kakatiya University, became Professor in 1992. He has put up 36 years of vast teaching experience by the time he attained his superannuation in August, 2009.

Recognizing his teaching and research experience, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has conferred him with “BEST TEACHER AWARD” in 2007. He guided a good number of M. Phil / Ph. D students and published about 50 research papers in National/International journals. Dr. N. Satyanarayana holds the membership of American Chemical Society, USA, Indian Science Congress, and Indian Council of Chemists. He is a reviewer for J. Chem. Eng. Data (American Chemical Society), J. Chem. Thermodynamics (Elsevier Publications-Science Direct), Indian Journal of Chemistry, Journal of Pure and Applied Physics (CSIR).

He rendered his service as External member in several committees constituted by UGC Advisory Committee, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore for various academic activities.

He served the University in several capacities: Member Academic Senate, Registrar, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Coordinator, IQAC (NAAC), Coordinating Officer, UGC Affairs, Principal, University Arts & Science College, Vice-Principal, University College, Additional Controller of Examinations, Head and Chairperson, Board of Studies in Chemistry of Kakatiya University,.

He is also a member in different universities in India as External Member, Board of Studies, Examiner, Ph.D. adjudicator, UGC – SAP and other academic advisor.
